2020 Vision
20/20 vision is a term used to express normal visual acuity (the clarity or sharpness of vision) measured at a distance of 20 feet. The term, as most of us are familiar with, 20/20 vision is synonymous with “perfect vision”. Despite it being a measure of your eyesight, it does not at all mean “perfect vision”. ... You may be able to focus your vision at 20 feet, but may lack the ability to see five feet in front of you. Although God is giving us 2020 vision, most of us have not been able to see what has been right in front of us; blocking the full vision that God wants us to see. We have been blinded, unable to see what is closest to us so that we may find healing and wholeness. (Especially in the dark.)
I heard God say 2020 is going to be a time of Night vision! We are going to be able to see through the darkness and the things right in front of us that have laid hidden and tripping us up at every turn.
The best eyesight in the animal kingdom is the EAGLE! All birds of prey have excellent long-distance vision, but eagles stand out. They can see clearly about eight times as far as humans can, allowing them to spot and focus in on a rabbit or other animal at a distance of about two miles. While we can see a candle flame at that distance, a small animal camouflaged in its surroundings would be hidden from us. Eagles can also quickly shift focus, allowing them to essentially “zoom” in on their prey. They also can see a wider range of colors than we can, allowing them to differentiate small changes in coloration in their prey, as well as see UV light. As far as daytime vision goes, eagles, hawks, and falcons reign supreme.
However, they don’t do as well during the night. OWLS are nighttime predators that take the torch from eagles as soon as the sun goes down. Unlike many birds with eyes that sit at an angle, owl eyes face directly forward, giving them incredible binocular vision. Although their large eyes can’t move or roll like human eyes can, owls can move their heads nearly all the way around, allowing them to have a 270-degree range of vision without moving their bodies. Their large, tube-shaped eyes contain many more rods than human eyes, which allow them to be more sensitive to light. Their irises widen to allow more light to reach their retina at night. Because the iris adjusts, owls can also see during the day (unlike other nocturnal animals that can only see well at night), but their vision is slightly blurry and they cannot see colors well. Owls and other animals with excellent night vision have a reflective surface behind their retina known as the tapetum lucidum. This thin layer allows light to reflect back into the animal’s eye after it’s already passed through, giving the animal two chances to collect an adequate amount of light. Humans, on the other hand, don’t have this trait, so our day vision is vastly superior to our night vision.
In 2020, God is going to increase our long-distance vision to spot and focus in on our enemy and the things that are hidden and camouflaged that try to steal, kill and destroy all that God has for us. We are going to be able to zoom in, quickly shift focus as circumstance change and face our barriers directly in the face with binocular vision!
It is a time where our range of vision will increase and we will be more sensitive to God’s light and His direction to pierce the dark. As we listen and move as He directs there will be a shift in our longing. Not only to be in His presence but to reflect His light just as the owls eyes reflect light, we will have our Father’s Eyes that reflect Him!
We have to be willing to chase after Him, letting go of former paradigms and belief systems that fight against who God is. He is light and there is no darkness in the light. He has created you for a purpose, a purpose to see MORE than what you have been seeing. 2020 is a time to focus, shift and see! Faith will rise up and hope will float on the wings of eagles bringing you closer to Him in a new way with new vision!
May we have our Father’s Eyes and beyond 20/20 vision!

I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.
