In the Waiting

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as Eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk, and not faint.

What does it mean to wait? We "wait" in line, we "wait" on our kids to get dressed to leave, we "wait" for our dental appointment, we "wait" to finish our Chemo treatments etc... Once we have "waited" there is usually a pay off, we get something right? Have you ever felt like the waiting will never end? There are times in our lives when we feel like we have been in a holding pattern for way too long. We get ansy and want to move NOW! If we move before we are suppose to, we could miss all that God has for us. (or mess things up trying to do it on our own and our own way) It's like standing in line for an hour and getting up to the front of the line, turning around and giving up. Well, that was a waste of an hour! What did you get...nothing.

God wants to see your "staying power". Can you "wait", "hold on just a bit longer"? He's got something big up His sleeve. Do you want to soar like an eagle? Do you want to run and not grow weary? THAT'S WHAT HE WANTS FOR YOU!

In those moments of "waiting" sit still and KNOW that He is God and that He only wants the best for you. His timing is always right on time and never out of time!

Live Out Loud! Sherri
